Since the middle of March 2020, the efforts of RBW Missions have had to be altered. Course changes can be hard, but knowing that we have a Sovereign God at the helm is our great consolation. We praise Him along with a multitude of other ministries as we have seen Him open doors during this time in am amazing ways.
In Colombia, Herné, from a small village in the Amazon was connected with a church in Bogotá and joined in training seminars via internet. The Bogotá church has been inspired with the need among the unreached throughout their country and within their own metropolis. In Leticia, though mostly sequestered in their rural farm setting, the leaders and students made a weekend mission outreach to a new village with 75 families from 3 different people groups, sharing the Gospel. The La Antorcha school continues with their classes through the summer vacation. In the Llano area of Colombia, Guahibo believers are now seeking for Bible training and getting it remotely. The final edition of the Scriptures in their language is set to be finished this coming January. When transportation opens in the country, workers are ready to move out. The COVID situation has sparked a hunger to grow deeper in the faith.
We in the office are gathering materials for the time when we can return to these places. Extra time in prayer, planning, and conversing via social media keeps us in close contact and we're able to connect ministry needs to ministry supply. God has not been hindered by COVID - and when we get past our discomfort with it, He shows us exactly what He wants us to do.
